What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Assistant position at Tonica Johnson, MD?
An experienced Ophthalmic Assistant is sought for our private ophthalmology practice in Durham. Do you prefer a small, personable experience rather than being lost in a big system? The position requires at least 1 full year of experience working with an ophthalmologist as an ophthalmic technician or assistant, and at least one year of prior experience with the following
-Taking patient history
-Checking Visual Acuity
-Checking IOPs (Goldman applanation)
-Assessing Pupils, EOMS, and Confrontation Fields
-Manual/Manifest Refractions.
-Visual Fields, OCTs, IOL Master, Topography, Pachymetry
Applicants should already be very familiar with all of the above aspects of ophthalmology patient workups.

The position can be full-time or part-time depending on the candidate's desire.
