About the Role As an Assembler, you'll join fabricated sheet metal components into finished assemblies using hardware, fasteners, adhesives, and hand or power tools — following assembly instructions and customer drawings. This role is a great fit for someone with a quality-first mindset who takes pride in every assembly that leaves their station.
What You'll Do
- Assemble fabricated metal components into finished assemblies per drawings, travelers, and work instructions
- Install hardware — inserts, fasteners, rivets, standoffs, brackets — using the correct tools and torque specs
- Visually and dimensionally inspect completed assemblies against print requirements
- Report non-conforming parts or assembly discrepancies to your supervisor right away
- Stage completed assemblies for the next step with accurate part counts
- Track production counts and document completions each shift
- Keep your workstation clean and organized, and support 5S standards
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
What You Bring
- Prior assembly experience in manufacturing or fabrication preferred — we'll train the right candidate
- Ability to read assembly drawings and follow multi-step instructions with minimal supervision
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand and power tools, including torque drivers and pneumatic tools
- Strong attention to detail and consistent workmanship
- Reliable attendance and a team-oriented attitude
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and handle parts or materials up to 35 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
- Ability to stand and move throughout the production floor for most of the shift
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as needed
- Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements
- Ability to safely operate a pallet jack
Work Environment This is a shop-floor role in a precision metal fabrication facility. Expect exposure to production machinery, moderate-to-high noise, metal dust/particles, and varying temperatures. PPE is required and provided.
