About the Role:
Toms River Yacht Club is looking for a friendly and energetic part-time Order Taker/Light Cook to join our team in Toms River, NJ! This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fun, waterfront club environment where great food and great people come together. If you love interacting with guests and don't mind getting your hands a little busy in the kitchen, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
- Take food and beverage orders accurately from club members and guests
- Perform light cooking duties including preparing simple menu items and snacks
- Deliver orders and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including kitchen and front-of-house spaces
- Assist with restocking supplies and keeping the kitchen prepped and ready for service
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food service, order taking, or light food preparation preferred
- Basic cooking skills and comfort working in a kitchen environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Friendly, reliable, and punctual with a team-player attitude
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
- Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one a plus
