What are the responsibilities and job description for the Box Truck Driver position at TOMRA?
TOMRA, an international recycling company, is looking for a Box Truck Driver to transport used beverage containers and store supplies in a safe and timely manner. (No CDL required!).
HOURS: Monday through Friday, 6:30a - 3:00p
PAY: $23.00/hr overtime
- Operates a box truck that transports cargo to and from specified destinations
- Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service
- Loads, secures and unloads cargo
- Maintains radio or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up
- Maintains logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations
- Proven experience as a Box Truck Driver
- A valid driver’s license
- Must have a "satisfactory" driving record.
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Ability to lift heavy packages, up to 50lbs
- Availability to occasionally take weekend shifts
- A polite and professional disposition
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
- A high school diploma
