Overview

Responsible for performing a variety of duties pertaining to the management and administration of the bank’s commercial loan portfolio to maintain the integrity of credit quality; including but not limited to oversight of tracking and review of financial information, loan covenants and conditions, loan documentation support and review, general portfolio maintenance activities, and administration of loan maturities, renewals and extensions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for tracking all required financial information including oversight of financial statements request letters.
  • Manage pending loan maturities to avoid administrative past dues and minimize volume of temporary extensions.
  • Coordinate loan and line renewals with Relationship Managers and Credit Administration.
  • Coordinate annual review process with Relationship Managers and Credit Administration.
  • Work with Relationship Managers to identify potential issues, trends or conditions that affect credit quality, and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Review loan portfolios with Relationship Managers on at least a semi-annual basis, or as conditions may warrant.
  • Work with Relationship Managers, to address loan delinquencies, non-compliance with loan covenants and conditions, and loan exceptions.
  • Review Borrowing Base Certificates to ensure lines of credit are drawn up within approved parameters.
  • Review and identify trends with risk rating migration.
  • Oversight / Preparation of required Action Plans on loans not assigned to Special Assets.
  • When necessary, close loan transactions or attend closing of real estate mortgage closings.
  • Must meet standards as outlined in Client Experience Standards Program.
  • Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment that is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements; ensures that the unit and all personnel adhere to the same.
  • Perform, assist and /or manage site inspections for mortgage loans required by policy.
  • Prepare Credit Modifications/Extensions in coordination with RMs
  • Complete new credit action workflow entry in loan origination system
  • Must meet standards as outlined in Client Experience Standards Program.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • BS or BA in a business-related field preferred; and/or specialized banking education and training.
  • 5 years Commercial banking experience in credit and/or lending capacity.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematical skills.
  • Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Word and Excel).
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks and deadlines.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of current lending practices and policies and commercial loan documentation, including preparation.
  • Knowledge of commercial banking products and services.
  • Valid driver’s license.
