Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop comprehensive asphalt cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope, logistics, and potential challenges related to construction site conditions.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to negotiate pricing and contract terms that align with project budgets and objectives.
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs, pricing analyses, and cost control measures to ensure profitability.
- Assist in the development of project schedules and resource planning to optimize construction management efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating, specifically within asphalt paving or heavy civil construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, contract management, and cost control strategies.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, bidding procedures, and pricing methodologies.
- Prior hands-on experience on construction sites is a plus, providing practical insight into project execution challenges.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team collaboration.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
