JOB SUMMARY
Performs landscape maintenance duties to include but is not limited to: edging, mulching, bed clean up, planting and pruning of shrubs and trees, lawn aeration and seeding.
MAJOR DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Performs landscape duties to include bed preparation, bed clean up, planting, watering, edging, mulching, and pruning of shrubs, trees, ground covers, perennials, and annuals using various tools.
· Loads and unloads trucks and trailers.
· Performs soil and seed related jobs.
· Performs lawn aerations.
· Operates equipment as necessary.
· Follows all safety rules in operating equipment and vehicles.
· Performs daily checks, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
· Completes paperwork accurately.
· Maintains high quality of service measured by client retention and service callbacks.
· Generates leads for new and additional services.
· Responsible for profitability
· Provides excellent customer service.
· Exhibits calm professionalism in communications with coworkers and clients.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND TRADE KNOWLEDGE
No formal education required. Performs routine job duties learned on the job. Works from simple verbal or written job instructions. To meet minimum job requirements, the employee needs to know the operation performed and how equipment operated in this job affects the part being produced. Maintains a valid driver’s license. Must have DOT CFR – 49 physical exam.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND INTENSITY
Significant effort in lifting (70 to 100 lbs.), significant effort in moving, operating equipment, standing and climbing/walking. Work requiring these efforts occurs in this job frequently. The job requires a cycle of body movements which are moderate in speed with several motions. Operates vehicle: 5% of the day; uses hand and power tools: 45%; operates machines needing little or no adjustments: 20%; uses digging, sweeping or pushing hand tools: 25%; paperwork: 5%. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are fingers, lower arms.
