Employee prepares product for shipment to the customer and receives vendor material shipped to TomKen and processed all necessary paperwork. Employee reports to the Plant Production Manager.

Primary job functions:

·Follows policies, procedures and work instructions per job responsibilities.

·Assists with problem solving, corrective and preventive actions.

·Documents and reports non-conformities immediately.

·Prepares shipment of customer products and receives material delivered to TomKen.

·Safeguards Tooling during shipment including proper packaging and strapping.

·Get the packing slips signed and returned to the front office at TomKen.

·Loads and unloads all trucks that visit TomKen.

·Communicates with others as required i.e., Supervisor, Co-workers, and others

Necessary to perform job duties.

·Stages Work-In-Process.

·Organizes Inventory.

·Prepares Shipments to Customers.

·Unloads Returning Totes and Skids.

·Organizes Warehouse.

·Prints bar code labels as needed.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Gets the packing slip and any other forms required for the shipment from the front office

and prepares the customer shipment. Checks the serial numbers against the packing slips,

pulls the boxes from inventory, shrink wraps the boxes that require a skid, calls the

trucking company and makes arrangements for pick up of the shipment. Shipping Clerk

oversees that the trucking company signs the bill of lading and/or the packing slip.

Responsible for the movement of production parts inventory.

Responsible to unload material delivered to TomKen and pull the packing slips from the

boxes and sign and date vendors paperwork.

*Performs related Primary/Secondary Functions as required.

I. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

EQUIPMENT: Ability to operate truck, forklift

Critical skills and expertise:

·General knowledge of ISO/IATF16949.

·Working knowledge and understanding of department’s policies and procedures.

·Ability to drive tow motor.

·Ability to load trucks properly.

·Ability to secure load and prevent load shift.

·Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks.

·Ability to complete required paperwork (packing slips).

·Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Job standards: A high school education or equivalent plus related work experience. Must possess a valid Drivers License. May be required to receive Forklift training.

II. RESPONSIBILITY

Employee is given general guidance for the planning of procedures and methods to attain objective. Work is checked upon completion by supervisor so that errors are readily detected in the normal course of work by a standard check resulting in little or no loss of time to correct.

III. PHYSICAL EFFORT

Physical activity: Employee performs duties which may require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, and hearing.

Physical requirements: Employee performs work requiring the lifting up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and/or up to twenty-five (25) pounds frequently and/or up to fifteen (15) pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push or pull or otherwise move objects.

IV. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Visual activity: Employee performs work where the job requires operating forklifts and other light and heavy equipment. Employee also works where the job is beyond arm’s reach such as brooms, sweepers and buffing machines. This also includes work where accuracy and neatness is required, especially to assure healthy and sanitary conditions.

Job location: Employee works both inside and outside. Employee may be exposed to such hazards as working close to moving mechanical parts and/or loud noises. Employee may also be exposed to atmospheric conditions, such as: fumes, airborne particles, odors, dust, chemicals, and cleaning solvents, one, or more of which could have an effect on the respiratory system or the skin.

Safety equipment: Safety glasses and rubber gloves where required.
