Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to serve as our Middle School Cross Country Coach. The coach will be responsible for developing student-athletes' running abilities, promoting sportsmanship, and fostering a positive team environment while encouraging a lifelong appreciation for fitness and healthy competition.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct practices for middle school student-athletes.
- Teach proper running techniques, conditioning, and race strategies.
- Supervise athletes during practices, meets, and team activities.
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
- Follow school and league policies and procedures.
- Assist with hosting meets for cross country.
Requirements
- Knowledge of cross country, distance running, and conditioning principles.
- Ability to work effectively with middle school-aged students.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Previous coaching or running experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to obtain required clearances and complete
- Practices and meets are held after school during the fall season.
- Attendance at all scheduled practices, meets, and team meetings is expected.
