Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and staff.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
• Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours while communicating wait times accurately to guests.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Utilize Aloha POS or similar systems for managing reservations and tracking guest preferences.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization at the host stand and dining area.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
