ISAT Total Support /Tomarco is a leading provider of seismic engineering consulting services and the related products and hardware used for nonstructural seismic bracing and the support of Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping systems. Our focus is geared toward building utility systems within the commercial and industrial construction markets. Our primary focus includes but is not limited to, HVAC, mechanical, piping, distributed electrical systems, plumbing, process piping & fire protection contractors.
Headquartered in Southern California, ISAT also has offices in Northern California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Georgia, North Carolina, Chicago, Atlanta, New Zealand, New York, Texas, and Puerto Rico. Additional expansion is expected.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tomarco Contractor Specialties, LLP dba ISAT, is a wholesale distributor within the construction industry with strategic manufacturing partners. Tomarco prides itself on being the global leader in the development and sale of innovative engineering, fastening systems and application solutions. Started in 1977, Tomarco designs, manufactures, and distributes non-structural engineering and design systems for construction applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
- Gather/Review/Execute Seismic and Vibration Isolation take offs. Communicate with sales staff and customers to obtain all necessary information.
- Execute Estimates and supply a quote to sales force, customer, and/or id Coordinator in La Mirada or other designee.
- Provide and Process Layout Drawing Packages. Communicate with sales staff and customers to obtain all necessary information.
- Build Project Submittals as needed for Sales/Projects.
- Gather Information for Custom Engineering Packages. Communicate with sales staff and customers to obtain all necessary information. Submit and track required engineering packages to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Support customers and sales staff with technical information and troubleshooting, based on the Seismic Requirements, Vibration Isolation Requirements, Custom Engineered package, or ISAT Manual.
- Develop thorough knowledge of the pertinent sections of the following building codes:
(2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025 CBC 2012, 2015, 2018, 2021, 2024 IBC)
- Label Completed Drawings and File. Each day take care to label and file all completed drawings. Keep drawing storage bins clean and organized. Assist with archiving old drawings.
- Submittals. Capable of building basic Seismic submittals when provided with SDF and project deck information. Able to build submittals either in hard format (copies from the manual) or soft format (PDF documents).
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- High school diploma or GED required; a two-year technical or engineering degree is a plus.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to write business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to effectively communicate (orally, and in writing) with all levels of the organization. Willingness to learn internal systems and processes.
