Position Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to set up and operate machine tools to produce precision parts according to technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will take ownership of their workspace, perform routine maintenance, and proactively manage tooling needs to support continuous production.
Shift Schedule:
The position is for second shift, working four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm-1:00am.
Essential Job Functions:
· Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture parts to print specifications.
· Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
· Monitor tool wear and ensure perishable tooling is ordered before it is needed to avoid downtime.
· Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure safe and efficient operation.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company standards.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a machinist, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
· Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, and measurement instruments.
· Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Basic computer skills for inventory/tool ordering and documentation.
