Customer Service Representative

Tomah Veterinary Clinic is looking for a part-time Customer Service Representative to join our team! We are looking for candidates that enjoy working with our diverse clients and patients, able to multitask, works well under pressure and is efficient.

Customer Service Representatives are the first point of contact for anyone that is visiting, calling, or emailing our clinic. It is important that the Customer Service Representative can confidently communicate the needs of clients and patients, calmly handle possible emergencies, and remains compassionate regarding our patients. This individual should be proficient in carrying out oral and written directions and should have prior experience of working in a team-oriented work environment.

Duties include, but are not limited to; greeting our clients, operating a multi-line telephone, processing payments and performing other clerical duties related to animal patient care and treatment. It is important that this individual is comfortable working around animals and can work with possible noises or interruptions that may happen. Individuals must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases as well.

Requirements

• Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, Client Service Representative duties, and telephone techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to perform clerical work with speed and accuracy, use a multiple-line telephone system, and handle cash and other forms of payment.
• Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• A commitment to outstanding client service.
• Must work well in a team setting
• Medical Background is a bonus but willing to train the right candidate

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
