Job Summary
Tomacelli's Pizza & Pasta is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Pizza Counter Clerk to support front-counter service and daily restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will assist customers with orders, process transactions accurately, coordinate with the kitchen, and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming service area.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, efficient counter service.
- Take customer orders accurately in person, by phone, or through approved ordering systems.
- Enter orders into the POS system and process payments accurately.
- Communicate customer orders and special requests clearly to the kitchen team.
- Package completed food orders and verify accuracy before handing them to customers.
- Assist with pickup orders and coordinate delivery orders when needed.
- Answer customer questions regarding menu items, pricing, and order status.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and notify management when necessary.
- Restock counter supplies, packaging materials, and other service items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary counter and dining area.
- Assist with opening, closing, and general restaurant duties as assigned.
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, cash-handling, and customer-service procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, cashier, counter-service, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable operating POS systems and handling cash and card transactions.
- Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
