Duties
- Safely transport prepared food from the kitchen to dining areas using proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices.
- Assist servers by delivering food orders efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation.
- Support the kitchen team with basic food handling, preparation, and bussing duties to ensure smooth service flow.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team using effective communication skills to coordinate timely deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in service stations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
- Handle heavy lifting of food trays, supplies, and equipment with proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Support banquet or special event setups by assisting with food distribution and guest services as needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable; familiarity with serving, bussing, or kitchen operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy and efficient transaction processing.
- Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and interact positively with guests.
- Experience with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety at all times.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments, multitask efficiently, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
- Hotel or culinary experience, along with banquet or large event support experience, is advantageous but not required.
