Automotive Technician – Tom Wood Honda (Anderson, IN but son to be in Whitestown)
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Every third Saturday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay:
$23.00 – $50.00 per flat rate hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
Tom Wood Honda in Anderson, IN is seeking a dedicated and skilled Automotive Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and has a strong work ethic with at least basic automotive knowledge. This role requires a commitment to providing top-quality service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Location Note:
This position is currently based at our Anderson, IN location. Tom Wood Honda is excited to be transitioning to a brand-new dealership facility in Whitestown, Indiana, expected to open early 2027. Team members hired now will have the opportunity to grow with us through this exciting transition.
Responsibilities
Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance services efficiently.
Conduct vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs or maintenance.
Document all services performed accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
Clearly communicate vehicle issues and repair recommendations to service advisors and customers.
Stay current with automotive technology and repair techniques.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Perform minor repairs (e.g., replacing filters, wipers, light bulbs).
Adhere to company policies, quality standards, and customer satisfaction goals.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience required.
ASE certifications or manufacturer training preferred.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with modern diagnostic tools and shop equipment (wheel/tire equipment, alignment systems, AC machines, etc.).
Team-oriented, flexible, and committed to high-quality work.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
