What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Specialist position at Tom Stringer Design Partners?
We’re looking for a superstar Procurement Specialist to be a part of our collaborative and fun atmosphere. TSDP is a bespoke, full-service residential design firm responsible for coordination and implementation of all phases of architecture and design, from concept through construction and furniture installation.
Responsibilities will include:
· Generating and processing Purchase Orders via email and e-commerce.
· Requesting vendor invoices for payment processing.
· Placing credit card orders and/or coordinating check payments with Accounting.
· Tracking and monitoring Purchase Orders with vendors by both phone and email.
· Maintaining project production schedules and confirming delivery dates.
· Tracking delivery of merchandise with warehouse and/or delivery service.
· Entering notes and status updates in our Studio Designer software program.
· Generating Expediting Reports for staff project meetings and monthly client billing.
· Resolving service adjustments for delivery issues, damages and repairs.
Required Skills:
· Strong written and verbal communication, demonstrating proper writing and grammar skills.
· Detail oriented, with the ability to prioritize and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
· Highly organized, with the ability to develop effective solutions.
· Self-starter, with the ability to multi-task, with minimal supervision.
· Ability to work collaboratively with vendors, warehouses and other professions, including colleagues.
· Flexibility, professionalism, humility, and a sense of humor.
· Motivated, persistent and professional across all communications.
Experience:
· Ideally the candidate would have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, although this is not required to be considered for the role.
· Minimum of two years of experience working in a similar role (e.g. Purchasing or Logistics)
· Bespoke residential interior design industry experience a plus.
· Studio Designer software experience a plus.
