Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnosis of vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and body-related issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive equipment to execute repairs efficiently and accurately.
- Replace tires and perform tire rotations as part of routine maintenance services.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and the use of power tools to ensure a safe working environment.
- Document all work performed clearly and accurately in the service records for transparency and quality control.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems.
- Valid Maryland State Inspector certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire. (not required for all positions).
- Hands-on experience with automotive repair, including vehicle maintenance and mechanical systems repair.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine repairs or parts replacement.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to work well with a team.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
