Responsibilities
- Guide customers through the financing process, explaining loan options, terms, and conditions clearly and confidently.
- Analyze credit reports and financial documents to determine loan eligibility and appropriate financing solutions.
- Negotiate terms with lenders and customers to secure favorable deals that meet both parties’ needs.
- Upsell additional products such as extended warranties, insurance packages, and service plans to enhance customer value.
- Ensure all contracts comply with federal regulations including TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and dealership policies.
- Process loan applications efficiently using financial software, Title processing systems, and other dealership tools.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including credit analysis, contracts, and loan documentation for audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar financial services role within a dealership or automotive environment is required.
- Strong customer relationship management skills with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Knowledge of credit analysis, contract negotiation, and loan processing procedures.
- Familiarity with automotive sales processes and dealership operations.
- Proficiency in financial software applications and 10-key typing for accurate data entry.
- Excellent math skills for calculating payments, interest rates, and deal structures.
- Ability to interpret legal documents such as TILA disclosures and credit reports effectively.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills to close deals confidently while maintaining compliance standards.
