Automotive Mechanic
We are in search of an experienced, hardworking and quality minded mechanic who is self-motivated with a great attitude. This position will perform mechanical repairs safely and thoroughly following procedures, industry standards and Insurance partner’s guidelines. Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicle damage and perform necessary repairs
- Complete work with accuracy and efficiency, following company policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform collision related mechanical repairs according to manufacturer specifications and company standards
- Work in harmony with the production schedule and coworkers to meet deadlines
- Maintain inventory of parts and materials
- Arrange for necessary parts and equipment for the shop to perform work on a daily basis
- Complete required paperwork in a timely manner
- Repair and/or replace brake systems, steering and air bag systems
- Test drive vehicles, test components and systems
- Reline, replace and adjust brake systems and perform alignments
- Adjust and test repaired systems to manufacturers’ specifications
- Be able to lift 50 pounds
- Be able to stand for 8-10 hours
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
2-5 minimum years of repair experience required
- Ability to properly complete mechanical repairs including suspension, brakes, alignment, dashboard, system diagnostics, airbags, drivability, tires and more
- Above average quality focus and attention to detail
- High production capabilities
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical ad hydraulic systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced setting
- Must be able to read and understand instructions, estimates and repair orders and effectively communicate with the team
- I-Car or ASE Certifications are a bonus
