Responsibilities
- Operate snow plow trucks and related equipment to clear snow and ice from designated areas, including roads, driveways, parking lots, and walkways
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of plow vehicles to ensure safety and proper functioning of all mechanical components
- Follow established safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure safe working conditions during winter weather operations
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding weather conditions, equipment status, and operational updates
- Assist with the application of de-icing materials when necessary to enhance safety on cleared surfaces
- Maintain detailed logs of work performed, including areas cleared and time spent on each task
- Perform routine maintenance checks on plow trucks and report any mechanical issues promptly
Experience
- Previous outdoor work experience, particularly in snow removal or related fields such as landscaping or grounds maintenance
- Mechanical knowledge of power tools, ground maintenance equipment, and vehicle operation is highly desirable
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, tree care, gardening, irrigation systems, and plant identification is a plus
- Knowledge of safety protocols for outdoor equipment operation and winter weather conditions
- Ability to operate hand tools and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual tasks in cold weather environments
