This role focuses on setting up and running CNC and mechanical coiling machines to produce high‑quality compression springs.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC/mechanical coilers (e.g., Torin, MEC and S&H).
- Adjust tooling, guides, pitch tools, arbors, and feed systems to meet specifications.
- Produce first‑piece samples and make fine‑tuning adjustments.
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, load testers, and comparators.
- Troubleshoot coil inconsistencies, wire feed issues, and tooling wear.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience setting up and operating spring coiling machines.
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of wire‑forming principles.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
- Reliable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
