- Valid AZ Teaching Certificate with appropriate approved areas, endorsements for content area.
- 3-5 years teaching experience in content area (preferred).
- Be proficient and have experience working with Canvas, Edgenuity, and other Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Be proficient and have experience in teaching in an online platform both in and out of the classroom
- Current TUHSD certified teacher (preferred).
- Assist virtual student and program monitoring
- Participate in curriculum development, changes, and innovations as needed
- Develop and maintain a monitoring system for student progress
- Serve as an active participant in TVHS online communication platform
- Attend workshops and required trainings
- Be willing to work flexible hours when needed
- Design and model effective online instruction
- Provide purpose and direction for students and parents
- Maintain accessibility and respond in a timely manner to stake holders
- Meet district deadlines
- Demonstrate collaborative problem solving
- Supervise test preparation and administration
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Devote weekly hours to live synchronous sessions (hours are determined by state/client needs)
- Successfully complete training within two weeks of hiring
- Participate in monthly data analysis meetings
- Provide students with rich and targeted feedback
- Complete additional trainings as required
- Learn curriculum of assigned course(s)
- Welcome students to course, communicate requirements, encourage participation, maintain synchronous office hours, monitor student pacing/progress through course
- Take ownership for student academic progress and show an active interest in student achievement
- Grade student work offering constructive feedback and maintain grade book

Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; and some fine finger dexterity. The job is performed in a somewhat clean and healthy environment. The working hours are somewhat flexible as the job requires some evening and Saturday work.
