Position Overview
The Technology Analyst will provide expert technical support and leadership across the Engineering Department at the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey. This full-time position plays a vital role in supporting Autodesk applications, Bluebeam Revu, and a wide array of engineering design software tools.
The Analyst will work closely with the Technology Department, assisting with application deployment, server support, software upgrades, license management, and virtual desktop environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic infrastructure environment and has deep experience supporting large-scale engineering teams and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage deployment, upgrades, and technical support for Autodesk (290 licenses) and over 70 specialized engineering applications.
- Administer 500 Bluebeam Revu licenses, including portal oversight, configuration, and agency-wide review session support.
- Collaborate with server and Azure Virtual Desktop teams for deployment and system optimization.
- Support computer refresh cycles, OS upgrades, and pre-installation of required software packages.
- Deliver hands-on technical support for Engineering-owned applications and maintain system performance.
- Maintain engineering project data servers, manage access rights, and upload project files to Livelink.
- Assist with major initiatives including CAD Review Automation, Leica Cyclone Enterprise, and People Finder.
- Maintain licensing records, software documentation, and dashboards via Power BI.
- Perform SQL database maintenance including backups and script-based data cleanup.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Autodesk software in enterprise environments.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with Azure Cloud Technologies, especially AVD or Data Lake storage.
- Strong proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and engineering markup workflows.
- Demonstrated experience in engineering document and data management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and SQL Server Management Studio.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field (master's preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in system analysis, including license usage reporting and server migration.
- Prior experience supporting large public agencies or utility projects.
- Familiarity with 3D point cloud data and design workflow tools used in engineering environments.
