Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Service Technician role based in Manassas, VA. The Service Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC and related building systems, including inspections, adjustments, cleaning, and component replacement. The role includes diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues, completing repairs in the field, and documenting all work performed in service records and work orders. The technician will respond to service calls, coordinate with dispatch and supervisors, and ensure that all work complies with safety regulations, company standards, and client requirements. This position also involves interacting with clients on-site, explaining findings and recommended repairs, and supporting a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong Maintenance & Repair and Maintenance skills for commercial HVAC and building systems.
- Proficient Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
- Experience in Field Service, including on-site visits, service calls, and equipment start-up and testing.
- Customer Service skills to communicate clearly with clients, address concerns, and represent the company professionally.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in HVAC, mechanical, or related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., EPA Section 608, HVAC or mechanical licenses) are highly beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to travel to client sites in the region.
- Capability to work safely with tools, ladders, and equipment, including lifting, bending, and working in various environmental conditions.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced field environment.
