Role Description The Lead Line Cook is a full-time, on-site position based at Toledos Mexican Restaurant in Fresno, CA. This role is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to established recipes and standards, ensuring food quality, presentation, and timely service during peak hours. The Lead Line Cook organizes and maintains the cooking line, oversees station setup and breakdown, and supports inventory rotation and food safety practices. This position also helps coordinate kitchen staff, communicates effectively with servers and management, and assists in training new team members to maintain consistent service and kitchen efficiency.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a line cook or lead line cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment, preferably with Mexican or Latin cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, recipes, portion control, and plating standards.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation regulations, and proper kitchen equipment use.
