What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Studies (Gr.5-8)/Mathematics (Gr. 5 & 6) Teacher - St. Peter Catholic School, Huron position at toledodiocese?
Interested candidates must be able to:
- Bring creativity and enthusiasm to the classroom, making Social Studies come alive through experiential learning and engaging lessons
- Encourage critical thinking and discussion, helping students connect historical events to the world around them
- Design engaging lessons that build conceptual understanding and problem‑solving skills
- Use hands‑on learning, real‑world applications, and math discourse
- Incorporate Catholic values into teaching
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to support student success and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
- Valid Ohio teaching license or ability to obtain one prior to employment
- Previous experience teaching elementary/middle school students is preferred but not required
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
