Our Lady of Hope Parish has a part-time opening for a Coordinator of Religious Education (CRE). Flexible work hours, as it includes some evening and weekend hours and limited overnight travel. The CRE ministers, implements, and oversees religious education for Preschool through Grade 12 students. Supervises & recruits catechists, schedules meetings & classes with children and their parents, and exhibits goals of leading our young people and their families closer to Christ. They must be able to appropriately relate to parishioners and guests of the parish, while showing respect and compassion in delivery of his or her services.
Top Qualifications:
- Must be a practicing Catholic with knowledge, understanding and commitment to the Catholic Church and its teachings.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing formation and educational opportunities to keep current on trends in catechetical ministry.
- High level of computer expertise in Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn custom church software.
- Ability to face situations firmly, courteously, tactfully, and with respect for the rights of others.
