Infant Building Support Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Infant Classroom Building Support Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will assist lead teachers in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for infants. Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote infant development and curiosity
• Assist with daily routines including diapering, feeding, and nap times, ensuring safety and comfort at all times
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
• Engage with infants through gentle interaction, play, and communication to support emotional and social development
• Help monitor infant behavior and developmental milestones, reporting observations to supervising staff
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure a secure environment
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's daily experiences, progress, and needs to foster trust and collaboration

Skills

• Experience working with infants or in a childcare or daycare setting is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
• Ability to perform first aid and CPR, with certification preferred (pediatric first aid)
• Strong understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
• Excellent child supervision skills with a focus on safety and attentive care
• Classroom management skills tailored for young children in an early childhood setting
• Effective communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques suitable for infants and toddlers
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to nurturing early childhood growth
