What are the responsibilities and job description for the RADIOLOGY EVENING MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST - PART TIME position at Toledo Clinic?
Within the Radiology Department Hours: 3:00 pm - 10 pm Monday - Thursday
No Weekends or Holidays
General Summary:
Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Example of Essential Duties:
- Greeting patients - courteously and professionally.
- Verifying / update insurance information.
- Collecting co- pays.
- Verifying and releasing of patient orders.
- Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
- Scheduling appointments, lab tests, etc.
- Answering general patient questions.
- Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.
- Forwards charge tickets to data entry.
Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to):
- Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts.
- Assorted file room duties.
- Assist daytime medical receptionist when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Required:
- Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills required.
- Excellent organizational skills required.
- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.
Education:
- HS diploma or GED.
Preferred:
- Previous clerical experience in a Drs. Office and previous experience in billing preferred.
