Toledo Clinic's Internal Medicine office, located in Perrysburg Ohio, is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist. This position will work Monday-Friday (6:45am - 3:00pm). Previous experience in a medical office is preferred.
General Summary
Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office.
Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
- Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
- Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.
- Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications.
- Updating insurance information.
- Answering general patient questions.
- Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.
Other Essential Duties May Include but Are Not Limited To
- Collecting co-pays.
- Preparing and/or submitting charge tickets.
- Preparing and cleaning exam rooms.
- Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education:
- HS diploma or GED.
Preferred:
- Previous clerical experience in a medical office.
