Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Legal Assistant in our Civil Litigation and Mediation practice. The Legal Assistant will support the firm's attorneys by preparing legal documents, performing administrative tasks, managing communication with clients and stakeholders, and assisting with legal case preparation and trial. The position involves ensuring efficient daily operations and supporting the firm’s commitment to providing compassionate and professional legal services. We are looking for someone who possesses the ability to work individually and as a team member.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Civil Litigation in Indiana as a Legal Assistant
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interaction with clients and team members
- Excellent legal administrative skills (typing/keyboard, calendaring events, scheduling, pleadings, court e-filings, etc.) along with excellent grammar and spelling skills
- Proficiency with office software Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
- A commitment to upholding professional ethical standards and adherence to the firm’s mission
