Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This role involves both hosting and serving responsibilities, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well taken care of throughout their visit.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining a high standard of presentation.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to enhance the dining experience.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain communication during busy periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for incoming guests.
- Assist in training new staff members on service standards and restaurant protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/host or server in a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with food service operations, including serving techniques and hospitality best practices.
- Experience with POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to collaborate as part of a team are essential.
