Duties
- Manage restaurant reservation systems efficiently, including booking, modifying, and confirming guest reservations using popular restaurant management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, assist with seating arrangements, and provide accurate wait times while maintaining excellent phone etiquette during reservation calls.
- Handle guest inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism, ensuring clear communication about wait times, menu options, and special requests.
- Coordinate with the food service team to optimize table management and seating flow, ensuring smooth operations during busy hours.
- Maintain detailed records of reservations, guest preferences, and special requests to enhance personalized guest experiences.
- Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper sanitation procedures and supporting overall restaurant cleanliness.
- Support guest relations by resolving concerns promptly and courteously to foster loyalty and positive reviews.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant reservation management or as a host/hostess within a food service environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with hotel reservation systems is a plus.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during high-volume periods.
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, billing inquiries, and POS transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being.
- Experience using POS systems like Micros or Aloha POS; prior hotel or serving experience is advantageous.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to engage guests professionally over the phone and in person.
