Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales records
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation, food handling, and basic kitchen support when needed to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong foundation in customer service
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales transactions
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining high-quality service
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances guest interactions
- Excellent communication skills to engage with guests confidently and professionally
- Strong wine knowledge, spirits experience, and cocktail skills for upselling and beverage service excellence
- Understanding of sanitation practices, food safety standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with OpenTable reservations system or similar platforms is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating hospitality expertise
