Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and upsell menu items to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards at all times.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering and basic retail math to ensure accurate transactions.
- Monitor alcohol consumption to promote responsible serving, ensuring compliance with legal drinking age laws and safety protocols.
- Restock bar supplies regularly, including garnishes, glassware, and beverages, while managing inventory levels effectively.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during catering or banquet events to coordinate food and beverage service seamlessly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for efficient order processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods without compromising quality.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales transactions.
- Experience in retail math, brewing knowledge, or catering services is a plus.
