Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. Experience in fine dining or food service environments is preferred, along with strong communication and multitasking skills. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus, providing detailed descriptions of menu items and specials
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including cash handling and processing payments
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained throughout service
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables for new guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Provide guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Support host/host duties when needed, including seating guests and managing reservations
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Experience in food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing purposes
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Previous experience in fine dining or food industry settings is advantageous
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Background in culinary arts or kitchen experience is a plus but not required
