Technologist - Process Power Delivery

Tokyo Electron America, Inc., a subsidiary of Tokyo Electron Limited, is currently seeking a tenured Technologist at our San Jose, CA facility.

Responsibility

• Initiate the design, development, execution, and implementation of technological research projects as foundations for process power delivery for product development.
• Develop innovative solutions from first scientific principles at concept and feasibility phase to high volume manufacturing ready products.
• Use electrical engineering and plasma physics expertise to work closely with power supply vendors to develop a robust and capable process power delivery portfolio complementing the requirements of novel deposition products.
• Apply rigorous statistical analysis including machine learning approaches to analyze process experiment results during product development to ensure product development is data-driven and efficaciously optimized.
• Communicate product development results regularly with the factory through weekly meetings.
• Take responsibility for discussions directly with customers as needed for product performance optimization, TTTM, and HVM operation.
• Maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories and contribute to scientific literature and conferences.

Qualifications and Preferences

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Physics
• >15 years' experience in the semiconductor equipment manufacturing industry
• Experience in semiconductor equipment process power delivery including DC and RF power.
• Strong track record of product inception and product development to high volume release
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-15%
