Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety guidelines, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation protocols throughout service
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas swiftly, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed in a bustling environment
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking efficiently
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and calculating bills or tips
- Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is beneficial for understanding food preparation and presentation standards
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
