Duties

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival with a lively and professional attitude, making them feel instantly welcomed.
• Manage reservation systems and waitlists efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow.
• Coordinate with the service team to assign tables promptly, ensuring minimal wait times and a seamless dining experience.
• Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person with clear communication and courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times and restaurant offerings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a tidy environment that reflects our commitment to hospitality.
• Assist in managing guest flow during busy hours by monitoring seating arrangements and communicating effectively with servers and kitchen staff.
• Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, turning any potential issues into positive experiences.

Requirements

• Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential!
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests and team members.
• Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Knowledge of hotel or guest services experience can be a plus, demonstrating your ability to provide exceptional guest relations.
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries smoothly and professionally.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
