Role Description
The Seed Warehouse Associate is a full-time, on-site role based at our newly renovated facility in Hollister, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Daily warehouse operations including receiving and shipping seed shipments, checking accuracy against documentation, and organizing inventory in designated storage areas.
- Pick and pack seed orders, prepare materials for shipment, and ensure labels, documentation, and packaging meet company standards.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks (training can be provided).
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and follow safety and quality procedures.
- Assist with regular inventory counts.
- Basic data entry to update inventory records and coordination with logistics and office staff to meet customer delivery timelines.
- Communicate clearly, effectively, and cordially with global team members via email, phone, and in-person. Actively participate in team meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in shipping & receiving, including verifying incoming and outgoing seed orders and handling related documentation accurately.
- Ability to perform packing tasks efficiently, ensuring correct labeling, packaging integrity, and order completeness.
- Experience with unloading procedures, including safely handling seed shipments and organizing materials in the warehouse.
- Experience preferred in forklift operation and use of pallet jack, with commitment to safe equipment handling and adherence to warehouse safety protocols. Training can be provided.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for inventory updates and order tracking.
- Prior warehouse and/or agricultural experience is a plus.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, periodically lift up to 45 pounds (20 kg), and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Written and verbal proficiency in English. (Spanish is a plus.)
Compensation: $22-24 hourly, paid biweekly
