As one of the world's largest and most recognized graphite electrode manufacturers, we power the industries that keep our country moving. To support that mission, we are hiring dependable temporary Production Technicians to join our team where safety, teamwork, and precision drive everything we do.
This role begins as a temporary contract employed by CRG, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position based on overall business needs and individual performance. As a temporary employee, you will work alongside our permanent staff, learn our systems, and gain hands-on experience in our fast-paced environment. You will receive structured 30‑, 60‑, and 90‑day performance check‑ins to support your success!
This position is based at our Hickman, KY facility, with a starting hourly rate of $20.60. This position must be willing to work varying shifts.
Compensation & Benefits (Through CRG Staffing):

Essential Functions:
- Perform general department housekeeping, including clean up, stacking and identifying stock.
- Operate forklifts, and mobile equipment to load, move, and position material.
- Inspect equipment and perform basic mechanical tasks to keep tools and machinery in safe working condition.
- Follow all safety procedures on proper operation of equipment and job-related safety requirements.
- Recognize and troubleshoot routine operational issues and communicate concerns promptly.
- Complete required documentation and maintain accurate production records.
- Adapt to changing priorities and work environments.
- Work in conditions that can be hot (especially during summer months) and dusty or dirty due to carbon materials and bake operations.
- Work nights, weekends, and overtime as required to support production needs.
Requirements:
- Experience in a manufacturing role with the use of hand/power tools (experience in mechanical, electrical, automotive repairs, construction, carpentry, or other similar environments will be considered).
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Experience working in heavy industrial environments.
- Basic computer skills
Competencies:
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read and understand basic instructions, safety information, and work orders.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly in all forms.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and maneuver up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work comfortably at different heights.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
- Must be willing to cross‑train and flex back into areas where you have demonstrated competency.
