SUMMARY:

Function: Works in the warehouse assisting shipment of incoming and outgoing products and materials, including hazardous waste.

Scope: Responsible for transfer and control of products, raw materials, and supplies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions of this position require prioritizing and completing all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner, adjusting for changing priorities and availability of resources, and demonstrating initiative in identifying additional job-related tasks to be completed when time permits. The amount of time performing each function may vary day-to-day. All duties shall be performed in an efficient and professional manner in accordance with the company policies and under the direct supervision of a designated supervisor.

1. Transporting products and materials between buildings, inside warehouses, and loading/unloading trucks, utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks.

2. Safely receives deliveries of raw materials, merchandise products, and supplies at warehouse and completes required documentation accurately.

3. Accurate record keeping for the transfer of all materials including incoming and out-going raw materials, products, and supplies as well as other deliveries.

4. Assist maintenance of inventory control of raw materials, products, and supplies, including completing required documentation.

5. Safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and all other industrial equipment used during all operations.

6. Participating in inventory reconciliation activities including but not limited to daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts.

7. Monitoring inventory of hazardous waste onsite, preparing containers for outbound shipping and escalating issues with labeling or container damage to your manager or relevant team members.

8. Prepare products for shipment, including, but not limited to, boxes, drums, and intermediate bulk containers (totes) containing dangerous goods and chemicals.

9. Adherence to corporate, State and Federal regulations and guidelines when handling hazardous materials or when exposed to hazardous situations. Must adhere to departmental and corporate standard operating procedures.

10. Adherence to TOK America’s manufacturing and logistics methods and SOPs, while maintaining compliance with safety and efficiency standards.

11. 6S related duties such as cleaning and general housekeeping.

12. Adherence to all PPE requirements.

13. Actively demonstrate high levels of employee engagement, coachability (e.g., receiving and incorporating business-related feedback and instruction with a positive and growth-oriented mindset) to achieve desired outcomes, and accountability for personal performance and its impact on others' ability to do their job well.

14. Perform other necessary duties and tasks as requested.

Periodical

1. Attending annual and/or quarterly refresher courses related to hazardous waste management and handling, IATA/IMDG/49CFR compliance, general safety, quality management, and environmental management.

SUPERVISION:

Receives: General supervision given by Lead/Supervisor and above. Completed work is periodically reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and compliance within established guidelines.

Given: None.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma/GED or previous work experience required.

· 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.

· Previous Forklift experience is preferred.

REQUIRED PERSONAL SKILLS:

· Must be comfortable working with chemicals including, but not limited to, corrosives and organic solvents.

· Ability to effectively communicate in English (both oral and written).

· Knowledge of common warehouse practices.

·Willingness to cover for other department personnel in the event of absence.

· Ability to perform basic mathematics.

· Ability to follow instructions in both verbal and written form.

· Ability to operate shrink wrapping machine.

· Ability to become certified in all Material Handler activities conducted by the division and cross-trained as seen fit by the Logistics Manager.

· Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift, IATA, DOT, and IMDG hazardous goods certifications.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

There is a potential for exposure to hazardous conditions and/or materials. This position requires employee to remain alert and observe surrounding areas and conditions to identify, recognize, and respond to potential obstacles, safety concerns, hazards, threats, property conditions requiring attention, unauthorized and/or dangerous persons, and emergencies. The work environment conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. · This position primarily works in a warehouse setting and includes frequent exposure job-related hazards, inclement weather when bay doors or windows are open, cold-room/refrigerated rooms in near freezing temperatures for extended periods of time, unsafe, or hazardous road conditions when responding to field mechanical concerns, hazardous chemicals (oils, paints, and solvents), and loud noises from working equipment. Outdoor settings may involve a variety of property and site conditions, including open spaces, urban development, flat, hilly, and uneven terrain, stairwells and staircases, and other uneven surfaces that may present tripping hazards and/or other dangers that require diligence in observing and heeding site conditions to ensure safe work. Working outside or near outside spaces may expose employees to bee stings, poison oak, and insect bites. The work environment is fast-paced, high-pressure, and must be performed with an emphasis on quality and working safely while avoiding distractions and interruptions.

· Lift, transport, maneuver, and/or move materials and/or equipment weighing up to approximately 50 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. on a regular basis in the performance of regular duties in the office and/or in the field, sometimes over uneven terrain or around obstacles existing in a variety of work environments and inclement weather conditions.

· Move to, from and within our building and across company-related property or field site locations with consistently uneven terrain. Movement to, from and within property locations may occur during inclement weather, extreme temperatures, rain or snow, strong winds, and during low visibility and low light conditions (e.g., evening, early morning, fog, etc.).

OTHER:

Personnel must successfully complete a program of on-site classroom instruction or on-the-job training that teaches them to perform their duties in a way that ensures compliance with all job requirements. Prior experience and/or certification that can be verified will be considered in evaluating training requirements.

FURTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work overtime as directed by supervisory staff.

Must be able to work various shifts as directed by supervisory staff.

Must possess a reliable means of transportation to and from work.
