We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious HAZMAT TANKER (TEAM DRIVERS) to join our team. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of hazardous materials via tanker trucks across designated routes. Duties
- Operate tractor-trailer, tanker trucks transporting hazardous materials in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Load and unload cargo safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records.
- Follow established routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
- Ensure proper handling and securement of hazardous materials during transit.
- Comply with all safety protocols related to HAZMAT transportation to prevent accidents or spills.
- Assist with route planning to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with HAZMAT endorsement required.
- TWIC card and Passport card preferred.
- Experience with automatic transmission trucks preferred.
- Familiarity with tanker truck operations and handling hazardous materials safely.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and hazardous material transport.
- Ability to operate specialized equipment such as pony motors when necessary for loading/unloading.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Excellent route planning and time management abilities.
- Physical ability to load/unload cargo and perform vehicle inspections regularly. This role is vital for ensuring the safe delivery of essential materials while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance within the transportation industry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $2,880.00 - $3,000.00 per week
