What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm Store Retail Associates position at Together Farms?
Looking for a retail job that feels a little less boring and a lot more real?
Together Farms is hiring a Farm Store Retail Associate for the 2026 season. We raise beef, lamb and pork on pasture, with 100% grassfed beef and lamb, and we care a whole lot about doing things the right way. Our on-farm store is connected to Burger Night, but it is also very much its own thing, with hundreds of products from local farms, producers and other businesses creating beneficial products we believe in.
This is a chance to work in a beautiful newer farm store on a real working farm, meet all kinds of people from near and far and help them find products you can actually feel good about selling. From our best-in-the-world meats to ice cream, gifts and other thoughtfully chosen products, this job gives you a lot of opportunities to make people happy and go home feeling good about what you did that day.
What the job includes
- Helping customers in the farm store
- Keeping the store clean, stocked and easy to shop
- Managing inventory in POS
- Receiving inventory and creating new products as needed
- Updating online store inventory and product details
- Packing online orders
- Helping with displays, merchandising and sales ideas
- Learning the products well enough to confidently answer customer questions
What this job is really like
This role is a little removed from the main bar and restaurant action, so it requires someone who can work well independently and stay productive without constant supervision.
To be blunt, this is not a slow, sleepy, sit-around retail job. There is always something that needs attention between the physical store and the online store. We need someone who can stay off their phone, stay task-focused and keep moving during their shift.
This role also involves a lot of direct customer interaction. That means answering questions, making recommendations and often repeating yourself with a friendly attitude. If you enjoy helping people and making them feel welcome, you will probably enjoy this job. If that sounds exhausting, this is probably not your fit.
You also need to be comfortable lifting heavier items, handling meat orders and going in and out of the freezer for packing and restocking.
Schedule
Our 2026 season runs from April 30 through October 4.
Burger Night is open to the public:
- Thursdays and Fridays at 4pm
- Saturdays at 3pm
- Sundays at 12pm
Farm store shifts vary by day. Staff may start 1 to 2 hours before opening for setup and stocking, start closer to the main rush or stay 1 to 2 hours after close for cleanup, restocking and order-related tasks.
To offer more flexibility, staff may have the option to work only certain days or every other weekend. That said, preference will go to building a stable long-term team as much as possible, since regular customers get to know the people in the store and consistency matters for both the guest experience and the team.

There may also be potential for year-round work for the right person. That could mean part-time work beyond the main season for someone without marketing experience, or full-time work for someone who also brings strong marketing skills.
