Together Design & Build is seeking a highly driven Marketing Manager who can oversee our digital marketing, local outreach, vendor relationships, and lead-generation pipeline. This role includes managing a small team of appointment setters, optimizing marketing spend, and building strong referral networks across Austin.
Core Responsibilities
Digital & Performance Marketing
- Knowledge how to Run and optimize paid ad campaigns (Google, Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
- Must understand SEO, website design/management, and organic lead flow, without needing to execute the technical tasks.Manage social media content, branding, and audience engagement.
- Track leads from every marketing platform and monitor performance.
Lead Management & Appointment Setting
- Track leads — Communicate with project managers to understand what is needed to close each sale, and ensure the appointment-setting team follows up with the right offer or information to convert the lead into a closed project. Work proactively to increase the appointment-to-close ratio using any tools or strategies necessary
- Manage and train appointment setters to improve conversion rates.
- Ensure leads are followed up properly, and appointments are closed efficiently.
- Shift marketing budget across platforms based on performance and ROI.
Marketing Operations & Budgeting
- Create and manage a monthly marketing budget based on the company's sales goals.
- Track every platform: cost, leads generated, cost-per-lead, and results.
- Continually search for new platforms, vendors, and strategies to generate leads.
Local Outreach & Community Marketing
- Plan events in our showroom (DJ, food, open house events, etc.).
- Build relationships and referral partnerships with: Architects, engineers, adjusters, insurance companies, title companies, realtors, lenders, HOA boards, CPAs, inspectors, designers, trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC), property managers, flooring/cabinet suppliers, restoration companies, surveyors, short-term rental managers, franchise groups, and more
- Creative Flyers – Monthly promotions & holiday campaigns - Not required to execute personally — only to oversee and ensure completion
- Create new relation with B2B - City of Austin, Target, Walmart, (Commercial remodeling)
- Oversee referral systems so the phone team executes the outreach – you manage the process.
- Visit schools, universities, and community programs to promote the brand (banners, sponsorships, games).
- Create seasonal promos, holiday flyers, and monthly marketing collateral (delegate work to designers/creatives).
Client Retention & Upsell Marketing
- Follow up with old clients, create promotions, and increase repeat projects.
- Ensure no lead or client is forgotten; monitor CRM, call logs, and project follow-ups.
- Communicate with project managers to understand how marketing can support closing more jobs.
Content & Creative
- Send photographers to projects, review content, and ensure it is edited and branded correctly - Not required to execute personally — only to oversee and ensure completion
Team Leadership
- Manage and motivate the appointment-setting team.
- Organize tasks, track performance, and help the team improve monthly results.
Requirements
- Experience in digital ads, SEO, Website, analytics, and social media management.
- Strong understanding of lead funnels, conversion, and ROI optimization.
- Experience in event marketing or community outreach.
- Organized, proactive, independent, and results-focused.
- Leadership ability — able to manage and guide a small team.
- Local to Austin.
Compensation
Hourly: $20/hr Monthly Bonus Structure (per completed project assigned to you):
- 1–10 completed projects → $25 each
- 11–20 completed → $50 each
- 21–30 completed → $75 each
- 31–40 completed → $100 each
- …and so on, continuing in the same progression.
Additional Bonuses
- If the lead came from a new connection YOU created (not an existing source): → $100 extra per project, unlimited.
- If a new vendor you brought in a project to 100 annually sold projects: → $10,000 bonus.
- Returning clients do not provide an extra bonus.
- Projects under $10,000 do not qualify for bonuses (rare cases).
