Hourly Rate: $30-35/hr , based on experience
Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire (T-P)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Reports to: Electronics Supervisor/Lead
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electronics Technician to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electronics, with exceptional diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
This role requires a progression from foundational tasks to more complex electronic systems, ensuring the quality and functionality of all units. Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting and repairing electronic units and Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) at the component level.
- Conducting quality inspections on assembled and repaired units to ensure adherence to standards.
- Assembling cables and transitioning to more complex electronic system work as experience develops.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace and strictly adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborating with team members to complete departmental tasks and objectives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with soldering surface mount components onto boards.
- Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Demonstrated experience with PCB boards and board-level diagnostics.
- Repair, Troubleshoot, and Test/QC incoming board from external customers
- Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
- In-depth knowledge of specific electronic components, including capacitors, resistors, and diodes.
- Prior experience with cable assembly, specifically using multi-pin conductors, Preferred
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Excellent oral communication skills and a strong commitment to product quality.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and more than 50 pounds with assistance.
Preferred Qualifications: An Associate's degree in Electronics or a related technical field is highly desirable.
