Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students’ IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and specific needs.
• Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies and behavioral therapy techniques to create a safe, respectful environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design, lesson planning, and instructional strategies to ensure consistency and high-quality education delivery.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and successes to foster strong home-school partnerships.
• Support early childhood education principles through age-appropriate activities for preschool or toddler-aged students when applicable.
• Requirements
• Proven experience working with children or students with disabilities in classroom settings.
• Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy education, math instruction, and early intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a nurturing learning environment.

Pay: From $16.01 per hour
