We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Co-Lead Toddler Teacher to guide our toddler classroom, serving children 15 months to 3 years old. This role is essential in supporting toddlers through important developmental milestones, fostering independence, and creating a nurturing space that encourages exploration and discovery.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the planning and implementation of daily curriculum activities based on The Creative Curriculum, aligned with the Maine Early Childhood Learning Guidelines
- Create a warm, structured, and engaging environment that supports toddlers’ social, emotional, and cognitive growth
- Model best practices in positive guidance, language development, and child-led play
- Build strong relationships with families through ongoing communication and professionalism
- Mentor supporting staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care and teaching
- Maintain a consistent schedule within our operating hours: Monday–Friday, 7:15am–5:30pm
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years childcare experience (toddler experience preferred)
- Readiness to step confidently into a lead role
- A passion for toddler development and supporting emerging skills
- Ability to maintain a calm, patient, responsive environment
- Willing and able to complete a federal background check
Preferred Education
- CDA or ECE Degree preferred
- Level 5 MRTQ
