2nd shift Maintenance / set up technician
Responsibilities
Assist in mechanical teardown & set up of various packaging machines for changes in production
Set up machine software settings for product being packaged
Evaluate and adjust machine settings and mechanical adjustment for efficient operations.
Make repairs and Pm machines.
Maintain spare parts storage
General building and grounds work like plumbing, wall repairs, doors, basic electrical repairs.
Basic electrical troubleshooting such as sensor solenoids, relays and switches, including cable and cord replacements
Clean and set up industrial inkjet printers, labelers, cappers, volumetric auger fillers, metal detectors, box taping machine, inductions sealers, heat sealer for bags, vertical and horizontal pouch machines, blenders, augers, scales, package counting equipment.
Documenting daily work activities.
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs is expected as part of working on industrial equipment.
This position is primarily production room (on the floor) maintenance & machine set up tasks with the balance of work in shop.
A qualified candidate will need to communicate closely shift supervisor and make independent inspections of packaging operations as wells as communicating to day shift maintenance and management personnel.

Initial training will be on day shift with a transition to second shift, in 30-90 days. Some daily and weekend overtime may be required. Starting Pay range is $23-$27 per hour with a shift differential for 2nd shift, and periodic performance evaluations. Company provides tools.
